- NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the following Commercial item/services: delivery of Liquid Oxygen (LO2) in accordance with Military Specification MIL-PRF-25508F, Type II, Grade A, ?PROPELLANT, OXYGEN,? dated October 19, 1995 to the Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The Liquid Oxygen shall be delivered to Grade A or an increased purity of Grade A as listed in MIL-PRF-25508F, which will be refered to as Modified Grade A. Modified Grade A Liquid Oxygen deviates from Grade A Liquid Oxygen by only the values listed in Table I of MIL-PRF-25508F and the differing values are shown below, in Table 1. The possible purity value and impurities value will be determined by the Space Shuttle Program after receipt of offers. Table 1: Grade A and Modified Grade A Purity Specification The required purity levels for Grade A and Modified Grade A are listed in order as follows: Purity (%) 99.6, 99.80, 99.85, Impurities (ppm) 4000, 2000, 1500, Total Hydrocarbons as Methane (ppm) 50, 50, 50, Alkynes as Acetylene (ppm) 0.25, 0.25, 0.25, Water (ppm) 3, 3, 3, Particulate (mg/L) 1.0, 1.0, 1.0, This procurement is not a small business set-aside. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 325120 and 1,000, respectively. The anticipated release date of the RFP NNK06143497R is on or about March 17, 2006 with an anticipated proposal due date of on or about April 18, 2006. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/KSC Business Opportunities page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=76 Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
