Description: Solicitation 8006-19 seeks helicopter flight services for two helicopters. Services are for fully contractor operated and maintained aircraft services (AS350B3, BH206LIV with high altitude tail rotor system, or BH 407 type aircraft are expected to fulfill the solicitation requirements) to support the Grand Teton National Park and US Bridger-Teton National Forest in their fire management and search and rescue program missions. The requirements of this solicitation require aircraft equipment and pilot skills to support government shorthaul and rappel activities. Both helicopters will be based at Jackson, Wyoming. One helicopter is required for a use period of 140 days, approximately June 4 through October 21 and the other helicopter for an approximate use period of 120 days, June 18 through October 15. Both items may be awarded to one contractor or separately to two contractors. The items include an option to extend the contract(s) up to an additional four years. Contractor(s) must possess a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certificate issued under 14 CFR Part 135, 133, and 137. The anticipated issue date of the solicitation is March 7, 2006. It is a requirement that any successful awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) prior to award being made.
