Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice only. No solicitation is being issued at this time. This Sources Sought Notice is also issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. All businesses capable of providing this requirement are invited to respond. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this sources sought synopsis. The purpose of this Request For Information (RFI) is to obtain information on emergency full-faced smoke masks as a possible replacement for current emergency smoke masks. The government anticipates using NAICS Code 541330 with a size standard of $4.5M. The small business set-aside, if any, has not been determined. It is requested that all interested parties submit documentation on their proposed solution or current product that MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS LISTED IN ATTACHMENT 1, Quick-Donning Oxygen Mask Requirements. Information in the way of existing company brochures, company type and size, product brochures, drawings, sketches, etc., along with a cover letter providing an explanation of how your company's proposed product solution can meet, or be modified to meet, the requirements of this announcement is requested. Indicate if your product is on the GSA Schedule or can be obtained through another government vehicle. List current government or commercial users, if applicable. Include contract magnitude and points of contact for each example provided (name of the point of contact (POC), address, e-mail, telephone number, fax number, and the company's web page, if applicable). In addition to the information requested above, the government requests interested parties submit (1) A brief description of your company's business size, business status (small disadvantaged business, HUBzone, women-owned, service disabled veteran owned small business, and HBCU/MI), and whether you are interested as a prime or subcontractor, anticipated teaming arrangements. If you are an 8(a) what is your graduation date from the program? (2) For this type of work, what are your actual percentages and dollars in subcontracting to small business and all sub-categories (small disadvantaged business, women owned small business, HUBZone small business, service disabled veteran owned small businesses and HBCU/MI)? (3) Participation, if applicable, in socio-economic programs (e.g. Mentor Protege, Indian Incentive, etc) and the extent of your participation. (4) Do you joint venture for this type effort? Responses submitted in digital formats, readable by Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft WORD or POWERPOINT, are strongly encouraged. All questions relating to this announcement must be submitted in writing (i.e. fax, e-mail, or mail). Telephone responses will not be acknowledged or returned. All responses will be kept confidential. Proprietary data in the responses will be protected where so designated. This is a request for information only. This is not a request for proposal nor is it an indication that the Air Force will contract for these supplies in the future. The Air Force will not pay for information received in response to this RFI.
