Description
NOTICE OF INTENT: The National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service (NOAA/NESDIS) intends to extend an existing contract with Veridian Engineering, Inc./General Dynamics for approximately 42 staff per year, effective May 1, 2006 through April 30, 2007, for a period of 12 months due to significant resource limitations at the NPOESS Integrated Program Office (IPO) from November 2004 to the present time. However, the follow-on effort will be competed after this bridge effort. The purpose of this contract is to provide support to NESDIS Headquarters and the GOES-R Acquisition Office with skilled support for strategic planning, systems architecting, requirements assessment, technical services, program advocacy, and capital asset planning and data management services. In addition, the NPOESS Integrated Program Office requires contractor support for the identification and resolution of issues as well as preparation of plans, briefings, and documents in the areas of strategic planning, design/requirement analysis, systems engineering processes and procedures, program advocacy, data management, flight dynamics analysis and other ad hoc assignments for the NPP/ NPOESS program. The NPOESS IPO provides the spacecraft, launch services, and ground systems necessary to maintain the uninterrupted flow of remotely-sensed environmental data required to protect life, property and the environment and to promote economic well being. Other parties who desire consideration for this requirement must fully identify their capabilities in writing to Paula Frickey within 15 calendar days of the posted date of this Notice of Intent. This modification is to correct a typographical error. 15 calendar days is hereby changed to 45 calendar days. The response date is hereby changed from March 18, 2006 to April 17, 2006.
