- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation N4523A-06-Q-0003 is issued as a Request for Quotation, authorized by FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items to Utilize Simplified Acquisition Procedures in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-06. NAICS Code is 336611. Small business size standard is 1000 employees. This is a small business set-aside. The contractor must be a commercial paint company capable of paint preservation relative to ship repair. The contractor shall provide 25 painters (plural component qualified) and marine chemist in accordance with the Statement of Work. The period of performance for this work is: 20 MARCH 2006 through 26 MAY 2006. Work will be performed in the Bremerton, WA area.
