- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst requires the upgrade,maintenance and support of the 3-D software contained in the Electromagnatic Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate a contract with Vector Fields Incorporated, 1700 N Farnsworth Ave Ste 10, Aurora, IL 60505-1523. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only source for this effort, since the source code for these FEA tools is proprietary to Vector Fields. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
