Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis with Future Metals, 10401 State Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33320-6450 to provide titanium tubing 3AL-2.5V Titanium Alloy per AMS4945, Grade 1 Type 2. Sizes: size 6, OD 0.375?, wall 0.042? length 130 feet, and size 12, OD 0.75?, wall 0.065? length 70 feet for delivery to Navel Aviation Depot (NADEP) Cherry Point New River, NC. The Navy intends to procure this effort under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (C)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 Firms that believe they can satisfy this requirement are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which may be considered by the Navy in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Navy not to open the requirement to competition, based upon the response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Navy. A solicitation is not available for this procurement. This effort will commence within approximately 30 days after the date of subsequent contract.
