Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation N61128-06-T-0003 is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-07 Effective 2Feb06. Sic code 5172. A written proposal is requested to provide four each of 1,000 gallon capacity Butane/Propane tanks in accordance with the FEDSPEC BB-G-110, Type III. The safe level for each tank is recommended at 850 gallons or 85% capacity. This gas will be used to operate a 750,000 BTU Dehumidifier and 350,000 BTU Hot Water Heater located at the Defense Commissary Agency (DECA) located at COMNAVMARIANAS, Guam. The contractor will refill these tanks within 24 hours upon request by the ordering officer. Period of performance is 1 April 2006 through 31 March 2007. The estimated quantity required for the duration of the contract is 16,000 gallons. Unless directed by the Contracting Officer, the testing of liquefied petroleum gases is not required. The gas being manufactured and supplied to the government must be in conformance with the recommendation of the Natural Gas Processors Associations (NPGA), Publication No. 2140. This however, does not waive the right of the government to require or perform testing to confirm compliance. The provisions at 52.212-1 and 52.212-2 apply to this acquisition. The contractor is required to include a completed copy of 52.212-3 as part of their proposal. FAR clauses 52.212-4, 52.212-5, 52.216-18 and 52.216-21 apply to this acquisition. Full text version of these clauses may be obtained at the following address: http://farsite.hill.af.mil/VFFARA.HTM or by contacting Flo Mantanona at (671) 339- 7205, email: n8155@guam.navy.mil.
