- The dental hygienist shall be required to identify, treat, and/or prevent oral diseases such as dental cavities, periodontitis, and oral cancer. The contractor shall also be able to recognize, clinically manage and arrange for referral of patients for medical treatment that have clinical signs and/or symptoms of systemic diseases such as diabetes mellitus, nutritional disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and AIDS. The period of performance will be for 1 base year and 1 option year.
