Description
The Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate, Rome NY intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source purchase order under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 with Cole Innovations, Inc. 227 W. Dominick Street Rome, NY 13440 to provide on- and off-site technical and engineering support for customer evaluations of the Next Generation Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS-X). Activities are planned within the WIARF, located at Rome Research Site (RRS), AFRL/IFGB, building 3, C2TC room 14, and selected customer sites in San Antonio, TX, Oklahoma City, OK, and Washington, DC. These activities are related to the transition and fielding of WIDS-X and include but are not limited to, installation, demonstration, field test, exercise support, beta trial, engineering test and evaluation, helpdesk support, corrective action, and maintenance of WIDS-X devices and infrastructure. Specifically, this effort will utilize AFRL's Wireless Information Assurance Research Facility's (WIARF) Wireless Information Assurance Development System (WIADS) and Wireless Detect and Respond Development System (WDRDS) to create, duplicate, modify, test, field, evaluate, and maintain unique devices developed by AFRL that make up the WIDS-X system. The contractor shall: Identify and acquire the latest Government-approved version of WIDS-X. Utilize WIADS and/or WDRDS to replicate WIDS-X devices in sufficient quantity to support evaluation activities on-site and at customer sites in San Antonio, TX, Oklahoma City, OK, and Washington, DC. At a minimum, support the following types activities planned by the WIARF: Replication of WIDS-X devices as necessary to support planned activities and acceptance testing of WIDS-X devices, including the following: Functional testing of WIDS-X devices and system components to ensure compliance with Government requirements, security testing of WIDS-X devices and system components to ensure compliance with Government requirements and to ensure certification by appropriate Designated Approval Authorities (DAA). Off-site support of customer evaluations and field tests of WIDS-X expected to occur in San Antonio, TX, Oklahoma City, OK, and Washington, DC. The contractor shall document all source code and interfaces and conduct demonstrations of the system(s) for Government personnel as well as provide user and administrator documentation for all software modules. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The NAICS code is 541511. This procurement shall be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
