- THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS ONLY. The NAICS is 621610 with a size standard of $11.5 million. This solicitation is issued as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15. VA Medical Center, (VAMC), West Palm Beach, Florida has a requirement to establish a contract with a Joint Commission Accredited (JCAHO) contractor to deliver, pick up, provide, install, service, repair, disinfect, and provide storage for durable medical equipment to eligible VA beneficiaries as required by the VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach. The Contractor must possess all license, permits, accreditation, and certificates as required by law. The Contractor must provide documentation that they have been in the durable medical equipment business for a minimum of three (3) years and have a physical location which houses the service office, warehouse, dispatch of vehicles and other functions related to the performance of services. Contractor shall have the ability to provide services within VAMC, West Palm Beach?s seven (7) county catchment area. Catchment area includes: Palm Beach Co., Martin Co., Okeechobee Co., Glades Co., Indian River Co., Hendry Co., and St. Lucie County. Facilities must be compliant with the American Disabilities Act (ADA). Period of performance shall begin on or about 5/1/06 ? 9/30/06 with four (4) one (1) year options to renew. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, specifications and schedules of the solicitation. Each offer should contain the offeror's best terms from a cost/price and technical standpoint, as contract award may be based on initial offers received without discussions. The solicitation will issue on or about March 13, 2006. The due date for submission of proposals will be on or about April 10, 2006 at 2:00PM local time. No telephone or fax requests for solicitation will be accepted. Any and all questions regarding the solicitation shall be faxed to 561-422-6507 not later than ten (15) calendar days after the solicitation issue date.
