- Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank to provide blood and blood components to the Lebanon VA Medical Center, Lebanon, PA. Blood will be procured from volunteer donors only and will be processed in a manner commensurate with standards consistent with those promulgated by the American Association of Blood Banks and regulations of Title 21, Code of Federal Regulations as administered by the US Food and Drug Administration. Blood will be provided from 8-4, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Blood required at other than normal business hours will be provided at an premium cost. The Government anticipates the award of a contract with a six (6) month period of performance and an estimated amount of $95,000.00. This is not a request for competitive proposals. All interested parties should submit capabilities within 15 days of this notice. A determination by the Government to not conduct this effort as a full-and-open competitive procurement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
