- Description
- The Chugach National Forest requires Trail River Campground Reconstruction Phase 2 on the Seward Ranger District. Specific work includes reconditioning and resurfacing of existing roads and camping spurs, construction of new roads and camping spurs, furnishing and installation of site improvements including picnic tables, fire rings, bear-proof garbage containers, bear-proof food lockers, road gates, kiosk and fee station, traffic control signs, and government-furnished vault toilets. Work also includes demolition, removal, and disposal of existing gates, signs, vault toilets, campsite spur post markets and miscellaneous items. Specific work includes clearing and grubbing, site demolition and rehabilitation, excavation and embankment, crushed aggregate surfacing, concrete work, carpentry, metal fabrication, and painting and staining. The entrance road to the campground, Trail River Road, is located at approximately milepost 24.2 of the Seward Highway. Estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered. The Request for Proposal will be posted on FedBizOpps on or about 17 March 2006 for viewing and printing. Bids will be due approximately 18 April 2006.
