- **Please go to the NAVAIR homepage to download the actual Amendment 0004 to solicitation N00421-06-R-0048** The purpose of this amendment is to extend the due date, include a cut-off date for all questions, and provide questions and answers in response to solicitation N00421-06-R-0048. 1. Under Page 1 of the Standard Form (SF) 1449, Block 8 is amended as follows: Offer Due Date is hereby extended from 1130 EDT 2 March 2006 to 1630 EDT on 3 March 2006. 2. The cut-of-date for all questions is 1 March 2006 at 1100 EDT. 3. Questions and Answers in response to solicitation N00421-06-R-0048 are as follows: a. Where are the telephone jacks going to be located or does the contractor need to provide that information? Answer: Telephone jacks and computer network jacks will be the responsibility of the NAS Pax River phone office, NMCI, and WAMNET (jack activation) teams. Identification of jack locations will be identified by the government upon the approved final detailed installation drawing. b. Will the reception area need to be replaced with new reception furniture? Answer: The reception area will be reconfigured in accordance with the successful offeror?s accepted design plan. c. Are their any docks for unloading or any space to load furniture? Answer: No. d. Can work be done on the weekend? Answer: In conjunction with the modified SOW section 4.2, posted on the NAVAIR website, ?Working hours shall be permitted, and preferred that are beyond 1600 EDT. Access to building 2494, with on-site government supervision, shall be provided after normal business hours and on weekends.? e. Will there be swing space available? Answer: In conjunction with the modified SOW section 3.0, posted on the NAVAIR website, ?The contractor shall provide a portable storage container (e.g. trailer, pod, conex box, etc.) to store and stage the modular furniture during reconfiguration. Space will be provided in the parking lot immediate in front of building 2494 to house the portable storage container. The portable storage container will be removed from the government premises within seven (7) days of successful completion of the installation.? f. Is the Naval Air Warfare Center willing to pay for the inventory, space planning, design per bidder? Answer: NAVAIR intends to procure the services and the additional office furniture necessary to complete the building reconfiguration and associated tasks described in Section C of the solicitation. g. What are the internal dimensions of building 2494? Answer: The overall dimension of the space inside building 2494 in which modular cubes, offices, conference room, etc. is 48ft 8in x 96ft 1in. This excludes the bathrooms and kitchen along the east end of the building. Within this dimension however the two walled offices, which will not be modified, occupy the northwest corner, are 15ft x 32ft 3in, and decrease the total space available. Likewise the mechanical room in the Southeast corner which will not be modified occupies 10ft 5in x 12ft. 4. All other terms and conditions of the subject solicitation remain UNCHANGED and in full force and effect.
