Description: Project Title, Gateway National Recreation Area, Jamaica Bay Unit, Roadwork and striping at Canarsie Pier, Brooklyn, NY, Riis Park, and Ft. Tilden, Queens. Solicitation Number N1774060202. The National Park Service requires a firm, fixed-price construction contract to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of the above named project. Work includes, but is not limited to: the general construction of painting traffic markings for parking stalls, accessible parking and roadways, including minor sign and guardrail work at Riis Parking. Canarsie Pier work consists of general construction of bituminous seal coat and cover aggregate and painting of traffic markings on parking stalls and accessible parking and roadway. All work will be performed under a single contract. Riis Park and Ft. Tilden are located in the Queens Borough, Rockaway Peninsula, New York. Canarsie Pier is located in Brooklyn, Exit 13 off the Belt Parkway. The NAICS code for this project is 237310 and the small business size standard is $28.5 million. Contract duration is 180 days following notice to proceed. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is between $100,000 and $250,000. This procurement is a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is subject to the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The National Park Service encourages the participation of disadvantaged and women-owned business enterprises. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested parties with the time and date to be announced in the solicitation, Section L, clause 52.236-27 Alt 1, Site Visit (Construction).
