Description

DESC: SOURCES SOUGHT FOR LIFTING DEVICE The U.S. Army, TACOM Rock Island, Rock Island Illinois, PM SKOT is seeking sources of supply for a commercial lifting device to support Add on Armor. The device must be able to lift a maximum of 1500 lbs with a safety factor of 5 times the amount of expec ted lift. In other words, the safety factor would be 5 times 1500 lbs or 7500 lbs total lift. The device must be able to lift the load approximately 12 feet off of the ground and must be able to move the load in a 360 degree motion with the load suspende d off the ground. From the point of lift, the lifting device must be able to extend the load 15 feet on the 360 degree axis. A maximum of two people must be able to operate the device. PM SKOT will consider air, electric or hydraulic systems. System wi ll be used to lift with personnel underneath the load.
