Description
Description: This acquisition is a proposed commercial, firm fixed-price requirements contract and is to be competed via 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 315211, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The period of performance will be for a base period 1 May 2006 through 30 September 2006, with four one-year options. The Department of the Army (DA) Police requires various uniforms, caps, boot, and other Law Enforcement accessories. Organizational insignia (DA Civilian police patches and badges) will be supplied from an authorized manufacturer certified by the Institute of Heraldry (TIOH) and in accordance with AR 710-2, 670-1 and AR 672-8 . This requirement is for the procurement of various clothing, sewing and embroidery which include: Short/long sleeve shirts; Polo shirts; Pants; Bike Shorts; BDU Tops; BDU Pants; Boonie Hats; BDU Hats; Jackets; Boots; Metal Name plates G/S; Cloth Name tap e B/G B/S T/B; Cloth Sew-on chevrons; Pin-on metal ranks; Patches DA Police; Dress Hats; Hat Cords S/G; Hat Chin Straps; Hat Rain Covers; Hat Badges G/S; Rain Pants; Radio Mic Tabs; Coveralls; Belts; Dress Shoes. Alterations will be required as needed for re-sizing of any items. Sewing and embroidery will be necessary to add on patches and DA logos and must be included in individual price for applicable items. Exact item descriptions, quantities and sizes will be provided no later than 14 March 06. The Government anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP), W91151-06-R-0020, on or about 14 March 2006 with a tentative closing date of 28 March 2006. The RFP will be available for downloading at the Army Single Face to Industry website at https://acqu isition.army.mil/asfi/. No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed and telephone requests will not be honored. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), accessed via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Offerors pricing and representations and certifications shall be submitted electronically. All responsible sources submitting a reasonable proposal shall be considered for award.
