- Description
- 1. This notice will serve as notification of a solicitation for the following sole-source requirements: Repair of a Coherent, Inc. model Verdi V10 Nd: YAG laser system that suffered a component failure. The repair is to include the replacement of the laser diode pump and all electronic and optical components or subassemblies necessary to return the laser to a full operating condition. The Coherent Laser Division is the original company that designed and manufactured this laser system that the USAFA currently owns. NAICS Code: 334413 2. There will be no formal solicitation issued prior to award. 3. This procurement is for the acquisition of a commercial item using simplified procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13. 4. Offerors must comply with all instructions contained in FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The provisions at 52-212-2, Evaluation?Commercial Items, also apply. The clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition; no addenda apply. Additional FAR clauses cited in the clause applicable to this acquisition are: (b) 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 26, and 31. DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes of Executive Orders applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition with the inclusion of DFARS 252.204-7004 Alt A, Required Central Contractor Registration. 5.
