Item 0001 is a Seal. NSN: 2840000192220RV. P/N: 463382. The Seal is cylindrical in shape. Function is to hold oil in the No. 3 bearing area. Dimension: 6.999 inch minimum and 7.001 inch maximum. Material consists of carbon seal and steel housing. Application: TF33. I.A.W. current drawings. Quantity 15EA. Destn: Tinker AFB OK 73145-3032. Delivery: May 2007. Government/Commercial, new/unused surplus is acceptable. The approximate issue date of solicitation will be 10 March 2006. The anticipated award date is April 2006. Data package will be provided and First Article requirements apply. Qualification requirements: Due to the complexity and criticality of this part, only actual manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing required by the original company responsible for the design can be considered approved sources for this design, or manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing on items determined by the Government to be similar in complexity and criticality can be considered approved sources for this item. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. Written quotations are required. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestors are acceptable. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation, which will be considered. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with United Technologies Corp. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source selection process.
