- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The VA National Acquisition Center will issue Request for Proposal (RFP) VA797-06-RP-0008 for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), and Indian Health Service (IHS) to procure the following Family Groups of Etodolac Capsules/Tablets and Etodolac SA Tablets. The estimated annual usage for Family Group I (Etodolac Capsules/Tablets) is as follows: 115,745 bottles of 200mg capsules in bottles of 100; 233,185 bottles of 300mg capsules in bottles of 100; 436,350 bottles of 400mg tablets in bottles of 100; and 29,898 bottles of 500mg tablets in bottles of 100. The estimated annual usage for Family Group II (Etodolac SA Tablets) is as follows: 22,603 bottles of 400mg SA tablets in bottles of 100; 5,128 bottles of 500mg SA tablets in bottles of 100; and 3,672 bottles of 600mg SA tablets in bottles of 100. The contract period will be for one year plus four one-year option periods. The contract items will be distributed through the VA and DoD's respective Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor(s). Offeror's must provide bar code labeling which includes at a minimum the NDC number. In addition, capsules/tablets must be compatible with automated dispensing units (Baxter ATC Canisters, Optifil, etc.). If the offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. OFFERS ARE NOT BEING SOLICITED AT THIS TIME. The solicitation will be available on or about the issue date of March 8, 2006.
