- The Medical Center Miami requires for our cooling tower repairs: Remove existing fan assemblies and transmissions (gears) on all four (4) and replace with equal replacments(new hudson APT14H-6) FRP fans) customer to furnish complete fan assemblies. Miami will provide transmmissions (gears) Vendor to insure the following: that new fan blades are properly pitched and secured to maintain the cooling tower's desinged air flow and heat transfer temperatures. Ensure that mechanicals will be shimmed and realigned. Fans blades will be sawn off and ecisting gear and hub lifted out in one piece fan hubs may not be readily removed due to corrosion build up. Driveshaft's can be readily removed without heating and reused. Access will be allowed t one cell at a time, in order to maintain the facility's cooling demand. 30 ton crane is suitable and unobstructed access to tower is available.All work needs to be completed by 3/31/2006 by end of working day.
