Description
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) intends to negotiate on a sole basis, with James L. Brown of La Grange, KY, for a follow-on contract to continue development, implement, and maintain the BATF Hazardous Exposure Protection Program. He shall also work with the Federal Occupational Health service regarding mandatory fit tests and monitoring health screening, post fire/blast site hazard analysis, and occupational analysis. The contractor shall coordinate with Bureau directorates to implement recommendations, including new or revisions to ATF policies/work practices, equipment, and training, and the method of dissemination. He shall coordinate any other issues that arise regarding the program for which his assistance is required. Contractor must have expert knowledge of the Bureau?s National Response Team, Certified Fire Investigator and the Certified Explosives Specialists programs. Contractor must be expert in arson and explosives investigations as well as knowledge of the management and policies governing BATF. This procurement is a total Small Business Set-Aside. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. Anticipated award date is March 20, 2006. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action base on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
