- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Accelrys Software, Inc., San Diego, CA, for a License Renewal Agreement for Customized Software. Accelrys GCG contains over 140 programs and utilities covering the cross-disciplinary needs of todays reseach environment. GCG components consists of database searching, protein topology and localization, phylogenetic/evolutionary analysis, motif creation and searching, multiple sequence assignment and analysis, primer prediction, RNA folding, restriction and proteolytic enzyme mapping, sequence editing and comparison, and graphical fragment assembly with SeqMerge. Maintenance of this softwares and licensing are proprietary components that are provided by original vendor. CDC believes that this requirement is met by only one provider. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 6.302-2. Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation is being issued.
