- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source purchase order to FEI Company, Hillsboro, Oregon, for a Maintenance Renewal Agreement for a Transmission Microscope. Due to the high level of complexity and generally beyond component level repair, i.e. electro mechanical, mechanical, and optical assemblies, sub-assemblies and modules, film and high resolution digital camera integration, software and firmware, and licensing are proprietary components that are provided by original vendor. CDC believes that this requirement is met by only one provider. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 6.302-2. Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation is being issued. This procurement is not set-aside for small business.
