Description
-A MARKET SURVEY is being conducted to determine if there are adequate 8(a), HubZone or SDVSB contractors for this proposed contract for a Competitive Set-Aside Award. The proposed contract will be for the Construction of an Airfield Vehicle Support Facility to include two maintenance bays and enclosed storage area. Facility features will include an 8-ton overhead crane/mechanical hoist, service pit, tool room, battery room, parts room, administrative area, break area, latrine and shower. Supporting f acilities include utilities, fire protection, oil/water separator, storm drainage, communications, access drive, walks, curbs and gutters, parking, exterior lighting, security fence, hardstand and site improvements. Supporting facilities cost are higher t han average because of the increase quantity of concrete paving required to accommodate the turning radias of the large equipment accessing the facility. Heating will be provided by an individual gas-fired system. Air conditioning (approximately 8 tons) wi ll be provided to the administrative areas. Accessibility for individuals with disabilities will be provided to the administrative and public access areas. Demolish 1 Building (5,335 Total SF).This project is planned for advertisement in July 2006 with awa rd scheduled in August 2006. Contract duration is estimated at 330 days. NAICS is 236220. The size standard is $28.5 million. The estimated cost range is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. All interested 8(a), HubZone or SDVSB businesses should notif y this office in writing by mail or fax by 9 March 2006, 4:00 pm, local time. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of company as a 8(a), HubZone or SDVSB business, (2) Past Experience- Describe completed projects that are similar in size, scope to the proposed project, titles and dates and (3) Capability of obtaining performance and payment bonds for a project in the dollar amount listed above. NOTE: If qualified 8(a), HubZone or SDVSB business firms do not respond, this planned co ntract action will be converted to full and open competition.
