Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation and incorporated clauses/provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-13 and DFARS Change Notice 20030430 Edition. The solicitation incorporates by reference the following clauses: FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4 and 52.212-5. DFAR 252.204-7004. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), the Government plans on awarding a Sole Source Follow?on ?Bridge Effort? contract to Southern California Safety Institute for six months, 1 April 2006 to 30 September 2006, for two (2) Mishap Investigation Non-Aviation Course at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. No additional sole source contracts are anticipated due to the follow on acquisition. The follow on competitive acquisition will be 100% small business set-aside. This synopsis is being published for information purposes only. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. All interested sources must respond in writing with clear and convincing evidence to support their ability to provide the capability within (10)days of this publication. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed effort based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
