Description

Provide Professional Architectural Engineering services for a Site Fire System Update of Bldgs. #217, #221 & #228 at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois. Work includes Preliminary Study, Investigative services, consultation/meetings with staff to establish specific program requirements, preliminary drawings, working drawings, specifications, including cost estimates, and construction period services. The A/E shall provide comprehensive technical services including architectural, electrical, HVAC, Fire Civil and related services as required for the design to provide for updating the Fire Systems per code in each building. Estimated construction cost is between $500,000 - $1,000,000. Area of consideration is restricted to 100 miles of the Hines VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois. Submit two (2) copies of SF 330 with appropriate documentation by close of business March 23, 2006. Selection criteria will be based on: (1) specialized experience and technical competence of the firm (including a joint venture or association) with the type of design required, (2) specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to the project, (3) Maintaining project schedules and project budgets; (4) Knowledge in design and construction requirements; and (5) Cost control effectiveness.
