Description
**THIS SYNOPSIS PROVIDES FOR A SOLE SOURECE PROCUREMENT TO VOITH SIEMENS HYDRO POWER GENERATION, INC.** The scope for this procurement consists of the Contractor furnishing supervision, engineering, labor, materials, and equipment to repair the stator winding of Generating Unit 15 at Chief Joseph Powerhouse in accordance with the detailed requirements of the statement of work. Initial Condition: The initial condition at the start of work is that the generator has been disassembled and the rotor removed to allow access to the stator. There is a stator winding fault in the connection between coil groups B1 and B2. Also, a few connections in the vi cinity of the failure appear to have suffered minor surface damage from the fault. The failed and damaged connections have been gently cleaned; otherwise, no repairs have been made to the affected area. A 5000-volt insulation resistance test and a17.8-kV ac withstand test have been successfully performed on all three stator winding phases. Description of Work: The basic work to be performed by the Contractor under this task order consists of the following: 1. Perform mobilization and demobilization. 2. Repair stator winding damage. (a) Repair the failed coil group connection. (b) Repair the insulation of the series and group connections damaged by the failure. (c) Remove the ground insulation from an undamaged group connection to allow Government to perform visual inspection of copper conductor, strand insulation, and transposition. Replace insulation after inspection is complete. (d) Witness Government-performed tests and measurements to verify the success of the repair. Tests will be performed on all three phases and shall include micro-ohm winding resistance measurements, insulation resistance and polarization index measure ments at 5 kV dc, and one-minute ac high potential withstand test at 17.6 kV rms. (e) Make corrections, as necessary, to pass the above tests. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811310, which is matched to SIC code 7699. Project is open small business only. Additional contracting opportunities, visit the Army Single Face to Industry at https://acquisition.army.mil/ .
