Description

U.S. SPECIAL Operations Command (USSOCOM) anticipates contracting with Federal-Mogul Aviation Inc also known as Champion Aerospace Inc, 1230 Old Norris Road, Liberty SC 29657-3508 for Transformer Rectifier Unit (TRU) used on communication system on MH-47G Helicopters for sustainment of this or any other aircraft fielded for USSOCOM. The proposed action is for a refurbishment upgrade of GFE for which the Governement does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Firms that feel thay can provide this service are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal, however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date (in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The estimated release date of the solication is 26 Feb 2006.
