- General Services Administration (GSA) has a need for a contractor to provide all management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies and equipment, and shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure effective performance of all work for the following repairs and alterations at the Lee H. Hamilton Federal Building & U.S. Courthouse, 121 W. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana: Replace one existing hydraulic elevator with new one, and include but not limited the following items: hydraulic cylinder; jack unit complete with PVC and union guard, hydraulic pump and valves, modern computer-based controllers, elevator doors and operators, firefighter service, smoke detectors, recall switches, elevator cab interiors, hall and car fixtures, heat and smoke detection devices, door hardware, door panels, door operator, restrictor, guides, guide stops, over travel stops, up-thrust rollers and any other code required components, pump with fluid power unit, guide shoes, cab interior finishes, and door detectors. Also, provide a temporary chair lift for the duration of the elevator installation between the first and second floors. Upon acceptance of the elevator installation, the contractor shall remove the chair lift and all associated equipment, patch and paint all damaged areas and take possession of the chair lift. Contract completion time for construction is 150 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. The estimated range of this project is between $150,000.00 and $250,000.00. This procurement is open to all business concerns in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The North American Industry Classification System code is 238290 with a size standard of $13 million. This is a negotiated procurement; there will not be a public bid opening. The solicitation will be available on or about March 10, 2006. The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by accessing a secure website known as the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS). FedTeDS is a secure website designed to safeguard sensitive but unclassified (SBU) acquisition information. In order to obtain information from FedTeDS, you will first be required to register with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. You may access CCR at the following URL www.bpn.gov. Once you have registered with CCR you will be required to register with FedTeDS. No federal materials can be downloaded until you have registered under both sites. You may access FedTeDS via the following URL https://www.FedTeDS.gov. Also beginning January 1, 2005, as required by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) all vendors will be required to use the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) in federal solicitations as a part of the proposal submission process. You may access ORCA via the Internet at http://orca.bpn.gov. Potential offerors should refer to the solicitation package regarding instructions involving the use of ORCA. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and monitoring the FedTeDS website for amendment(s), if any, to the solicitation. Offer due date and time for receipt of proposals will be on or about April 10, 2006 at 4:00 PM (Chicago Time).
