- 47--Heavy duty sandblast vacuum hose. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the purchase of heavy duty sandblast vacuum hose (URFLEX brand or equal) and is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a written quotation WILL NOT be issued. This announcement is issued as request for quotation N00189-06-Q-P594. The standard NAICS classification is 326220. This acquisition is reserved for small business. This quotation incorporates provisions and clauses effective through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-26 with changes effective 12/30/04 and DFARS current as of 01/13/05 and inclusive of DCN 20050113 effective 01/13/05. The required vacuum hose shall be URFLEX brand or equal as follows: Item 0001-URFLEX No. 1, 2-inch diameter, heavy duty sandblast vacuum hose, quantity 1,600 feet, to be provided in 50 foot continuous length rolls. Item 0002-URFLEX No. 1, 3-inch diameter, heavy duty sandblast vacuum hose, quantity 1,600 feet, to be provided in 50 foot continuous length rolls. Item 0003-URFLEX No. 1, 4-inch diameter, heavy duty sandblast vacuum hose, quantity 2,600 feet, to be provided in 50 foot continuous length rolls. Items 0001, 0002, and 0003 may be URFLEX brand or equal. If quoting an equivalent brand product, a sample must be provided with the quotation. The sample shall be tested inside a tank for durability under actual sandblast conditions for a minimum of 8 hours; the sample hose will be subjected to sandblast grit both inside and outside the hose. The sample shall be two inches in diameter and shall be 100 feet long. Quotations received for an equivalent brand product without the required sample shall not be considered. Previous samples of Kuriyama Series UBK, and Pacific Echo U125, were submitted under Solicitation N00102-Q-03-1313, and found to be unacceptable. Samples of these two hoses will not be evaluated again. Samples are not required for quotations for URFLEX brand hose. Samples are to be shipped to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Receiving Officer Code 501.2, BLDG 170 ATTN: Brian P. Gauthier, Kittery, ME 03904. Pricing shall be FOB Destination (Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, ME). The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Offerors are requested to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3 and 252-212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items, with quotations. The following clauses/provisions apply to this acquisition: 52.212-4, 52.212-5 (including 52.222-21, 52.222-22, 52.222-25, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, and 52.225-3), and 252.212-7001.
