- 17. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, has a requirement for the supply of liquid oxygen for the Richard B. Russell Dam and Lake to meet the 2006 calendar year requirements. Prospective contractors must be capable of supplying appr oximately 7,000 tons of liquid oxygen The period of the delivery for calendar year 2006 is estimated to being not earlier than 15 April 2006 and ending 15 December 2006. The daily liquid oxygen requirement will gradually increase from approximately fifte en (15) tons/day in early spring to a maximum of approximately one hundred (125) tons/day in late summer or early fall. The demand then gradually decreased leases through late fall until the system shut down in November or December. The peak demand period will laws between three (3) to six (6) weeks. During the peak demand, periodic daily around the clock deliveries, seven (7) days per week will be required. The storage facilities consist of two (2) twenty thousand (20,000) gallon storage tanks. This is an unrestricted procurement. All responsible businesses may submit a quote, which if timely received, shall be considered. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 325120. The small business size standard is $1,000 employees . On 15 February 2006, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, implemented a new procedure for posting all NEW solicitations. The Electronic Bid Solicitations (EBS) system will no longer be used to post solicitations. The new system, called F ederal Technical Data System (FedTeDS) http://www.fedteds.gov, is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information for all Federal agencies. All prospective contractors and their subcontractors and suppliers must be regi stered in FedTeDS before they will be allowed to download solicitation information. You are urged to read the FAQs posted on the FedTeDS website to better understand this new process. . NOTE: Any prospective Offeror interested in obtaining plans and specif ications for this solicitation must register on our website at http://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil/. Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments Internet after solicitation issuance. This solicitation will be issued in electronic f ormat only and will be available on or about March 7, 2006, no other media will be provided. The bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. Notification of amendments will be through use of the Internet. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided.
