- NASA/DFRC has a requirement for one (1) each Recorder, DRS2100EM-114GB-4A4D, one (1) each Archiving Interface, WSI-1UPC-01, and two (2) each Cables, DRS-4PCM. NASA/DFRC intends to purchase the items from Wideband Systems, Incorporated at 2409 Linden Avenue, Silver Springs, Maryland 20910. The high-speed recorder from Wideband Systems, Inc. is needed to upgrade existing equipment and will make our telemetry system compatible with current control room systems. With this upgrade we can share hardware, software, and data with the control room without translation errors and meet project requirements for recording data integrity. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and 13. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:30 p.m. local time on ____3/6/06_____. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
