- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. NUWC Newport, RI intends to issue a small business set aside firm fixed price solicitation for the fabrication of Top Cushion Assemblies per NAVSEA Drawing 7378567 per the following quantities: 6 ea. First Article Test items; 599 ea. production units. FAT requirements may be waived for firms which have successfully produced the items previously. The Government will provide: 599 ea. Inserts, PN 7378592; 202 ea. Support Rings, PN 3180926; and 230 ea. Precompression Rings, PN 7378591. The Contractor shall be responsible for manufacturing all other components required to develop the Assemblies. Evaluation shall be ?best value? with evaluation criteria being ability to meet delivery schedule and price. Delivery of the FAT items is FOB Newport by 31 AUG 2006 and delivery of the production items is FOB Keyport, WA by 01 DEC 2006. Shipping packages are to be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129 and shall also note, ?Material for ORDALT 10979?. Drawings will not be exhibited on our website due to restricted distribution statements. To receive a copy, a company must be certified under the Joint Certification Program (JCP) managed for Defense Logistics Information Service, Battle Creek, MI as evidenced by a JCP Certification in the Business Identification Number Cross-reference System (BINCS). Past History: 427 ea. purchased from Ordnance Technology Services, Inc., Mentor, OH in 205 for $202.83 ea. The solicitation will be made available by 22 February or later. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/.
