- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division at Pt Mugu, CA intends to procure, brand name or equal, the following items: 1,000 each, Sony DV Cam 184N; 500 each, Sony DV Cam 64N; and 200 each Sony DV Mini HD 63. Brand Name or Equal: The Photo Instrumentation Section, Point Mugu, has been assigned lead responsibilities for photographic support of all Sea Range operations conducted at the Point Mugu Sea Range site. This duty requires the use of DVCAM digital videotapes for use in Sony DVCAM only camcorders currently owned by the Navy. This requirement is for the replenishment of critically low inventory. Any firms believing that they can provide the Sony or equal brand may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 21 Feb 2006. It must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the data without causing programmatic hardship. Offer must include a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offer Representations and Certifications Commerical Items.
