Description
The Sacramento District of the Corps of Engineers plans to issue a RFP/IDIQ (Request for Proposal/Indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity) for the following project in the immediate future: Various Drilling Services in CA, NV, UT and AZ GENERAL STATEMENT OF WORK 1. SCOPE. General Services Required: Provide various types of drilling services to include but not limited to auger, air rotary, ODEX drilling, diamond rock core drilling, cone penetrometer testing services, depths vary depending on drilling metho d from surface to maximum of 300 feet below ground surface (bgs), and backhoe, and trackhoe excavations capable of a maximum of 20 feet bgs. Provide installation of monitoring wells, relief wells, piezometers and inclinometers. Provide development and/or cleaning of monitoring wells, relief wells, piezometers and drains along dams. Soil sampling by split barrel sampler, Shelby tubes and Pitcher tubes. Drilling of HQ-wireline-size rock cores. Provide hydraulic pressure testing (water pressure testing) as sociated with rock core drilling; observation well installation and development (includes pump tests and permeability tests); percolation tests. Accessory equipment that may be required are crane, boom truck, forklift, water truck, barge (for drilling ove r water). This proposed contract will require services for traditional geotechnical work and may include explorations in hazardous, toxic, or radiologic (HTRW) site conditions. Common work environment is on or near water features such as Dams and Levees . 2. EXPERIENCE. The Contractor will have sufficient experience to work and administer various geotechnical and HTRW projects with varying amount of complexity. Operators should have a minimum of five (5) years experience on the specific equipment t hat they are to operate. 3. LOCATION. Location may be in California, Nevada, Utah and part of Arizona. Approximately 90% of all work will be in Northern and Central California. We are expecting to synopsize this procurement on or about the 1st of March 2006, with the RFP expected to be issued on or about the 10th of March 2006 and proposals due on or about the 22 March 2006..
