- In response to questions, we offer the following additional information: (1) Q: Does the pipe have to be domestic? A: This is addressed by DFARS 252.225-7000 and 252.225-7001, which are included in the solicitation. (2) Q: Are the ends to be b eveled for field welding? A: The ends should be square cut to the length specified. (3) Q: Can the pipe be spliced (40' and 20' lengths) and then cut or burned to the required lengths? A: No, the pipe must be in full-length sections. (4) Q: Is the re a required delivery date? A: The pipe must be delivered to PEWARS no later than 1 June 2006. Regarding alternate materials: ASTM A572, Grade 50, is an acceptable alternate material.
