- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to issue an Invitation for Bidding (IFB) to award a contract for the deepening of the existing elevation of the S-AN-1 Contract 3 Federal Navigation Channel System to a depth of 53.5 feet (M LW). The project area is located in the New York, New Jersey Harbor. The Project consists of the dredging and placement non-rock material. The non-rock material is unsuitable for HARS placement and will be placed at an Upland Placement Facility. No awa rd will be made unless Small Business Sub-Contracting Plan is accepted and approved. The Plan must address maximum efforts to utilize Small Business, Woman Owned S.B, Hub zone S.B, Veteran Owned S.B, and Disabled Veteran Owned S.B. The duration of this p roject is approximately 600 calendar days, including optional Items. This procurement is being solicited as UNRESTRICTED. The applicable NAICS CODE IS 237990 with a Small Business Size of $18.5 Million. The SIC CODE is 1629. The estimated cost range fo r this project is between $75-100 Million. Bid Opening date is on or about 10 Apr il 2006 at 2:00 P.M. (Eastern Standard Time). Bid opening will be held in room 1841 of 26 Federal Plaza, New York, New York 10278. The media selected for issuance of the synopsis/solicitation and amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Govern ment; accordingly, the media utilized for this project shall be the Internet and CD-ROM. Paper copies of this solicitation and amendments if any will not be available or issued. Interested parties may download and print the solicitation at no charge at h ttp://www.fedteds.gov.
