Description
The 96th Contracting Squadron, Eglin AFB, Florida intends to solicit and award a Firm-Fixed Priced purchase order. The said order is for the purchase of two fans that shall operate in ?65 degree Fahrenheit laboratory temperature. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 and Subpart 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. The Government will consider all quotations received 7 days after date of the publication of this notice. The announcement number is F1T0DA6041A100. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333412, and is a Small Business size standard 500 employees. The requirement consists of the following description: CLIN 0001, Quantity 2 Each; Purchase items under HBI Model 84-30-1185 or equal with adjustable pitch, direct driven, vane axial fan equipped with the following: Fan casing and horizontal mounting clips fabricated from ASTM A516 or A572 steel plate. Casings will be physically configured identically to existing McKinley Lab 84-in. fans other than the type of steel used in fabrication. 30-in. diameter fan rotor hub fitted with sixteen fan blades, all of the cast aluminum alloy. Maximum horsepower capacity 350. Air straightening vanes on the discharge side of the fan rotor. Grease leads extended to the exterior of the fan casing. Inlet bell. Continuous welding of all joints. Epoxy based paint coating. Streamlined tail cone of fiberglass construction. Spun aluminum inlet nose cover. Integrally mounted motor: 300hp, 1200 RPM, 460/3/60, totally enclosed air over (TEAO) enclosure, 449TCZ frame, c-face mounting, 120 volt space heaters, Class F insulation, 1.0 Service Factor on inverter power, low temperature or synthetic grease, Class II shaft material, Class 25 gray cast iron, low temperature slinger, and silicone gaskets. Items must be ordered and delivered F.O.B., Eglin Air Force Base, Florida no later than 15 May 2006 after award. Final inspection and acceptance will be at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.
