- The Department of Veterans Affairs Network 22 Logistics Office intends to procure sole souce from Safe Check, 999 Mechanics Valley Road, Northeast, MD 21901-2020, the testing of 700 smoke/fire damper and 50 air handling units at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, 11301 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90073. The vendor shall make a complete inventory, label each damper with a bar coded label indicating that damper's unique identifier, and submit an electronic and written report as to their findings. All testing and inspections shall be conducted in accordance with NFPA 90A, 2002 edition and JCAHO standard EC 5.40. This acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12 and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, for other than full & open competition. This notice is not a request for offers. All proposals received by 3:00 P.M. Pacific Time, February 23, 2006 will be considered by the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The anticipated date of award is February 24, 2006.
