Description
The VA Medical Center located in Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina, has a requirement for a contractor to furnish all personnel and equipment to provide basic and advanced life support Ambulance Services, twenty-four hours per day, 365 days per year, on an as-needed basis. Contract period is for April 1, 2006 through March 31, 2007 for the veteran beneficiaries located primarily in the Asheville geographic area with possible trips to the VISN 6 locations at VAMC Beckley West Virginia, VAMC Durham North Carolina, VAMC Hampton Virginia, VAMC Fayetteville North Carolina, VAMC Richmond Virginia, VAMC Salem Virginia, VAMC Salisbury North Carolina and whenever required, outside of the VISN. All bid prices are for loaded (mileage incurred with the patient actually on board the ambulance from the point of pickup to destination) miles only. Emergency Medical Technicians providing emergency services on ambulances under this contract must be certified, licensed or otherwise officially recognized by the local, state or regional government or public entity where the emergency ambulance services is operated or by which it is governed. Technicians and ambulance drivers must be capable to administer oxygen It is the VA?s intent to solicit offers and award one contract on a competitive basis. The acquisition is a small business set-aside. The applicable NAICS Code is 621910 with a size standard of $6 Million. Solicitation packages will be available on or about February 17, 2006. This requirement is subject to the availability of FY06 funds. Solicitation documents may be obtained electronically at: http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will also be available at the above site. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining any and all amendments and any technical questions pertaining to this requirement are due in writing not later than February 27, 2006. Offers with all required information are due no later than 2:00 PM, March 9, 2006, and should reference solicitation number RFP 246-06-02527 on all documents. Offers may be mailed to POC: Timothy O.
