- In accordance with the Revised Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-76, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is publicly announcing the start of a Streamlined Competition for Security Policy and Assessment, Systems Security Group, Office of Information Services. The Competitive Sourcing Official (CSO) is Karen O'Steen. The Agency Tender Official is James Weber. The Contracting Officer is Robyn Salawitch. Security Policy and Assessment develops and maintains policies, procedures, and standards for systems security controls at and provides security guidance to CMS components responsible for their implementation. These services are currently provided by eleven (11) Federal government employees. CMS will issue another notice to announce the decision of the cost comparisons on or before May 18, 2006.
