Description
Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to negotiate and award on an other-than-competitive basis a fixed price contract with Raytheon Company, 1151 E. Hermon Rd, Tucson, AZ, for the manufacturer of Electronic Assemblies (sets) used in the upgrade of WGU 4D/B's to WGU-4E/B's used in the AIM-9M Sidewinder Missile. The WGU-4E/B is the Guidance and Control Section for the AIM-9M Guided Missile. The WGU-4E/B is being upgraded by the Navy for direct delivery to a foreign country under the FMS Program. First electronic assemblies (sets) are needed to meet a July 2006 production schedule. This contract will be for 60 ea Electronic Assemblies (list of the assemblies and their respective drawings provided in the RFP) with an Optional Quantity of 40 ea (sets) available for CY06 and an Optional Quantity of 20 ea (sets) for CY07. The Government may select to purchase both Option Quantities of the sets of Electronic Assemblies together. FOB Destinatio! n. The RFP is scheduled to be issued on or about 12/12/05. The applicable drawings will be sent to the contractor under separate cover. Responses to this intent to solicit, other than from the source listed, will be required to submit information in writing to verify their prior experience in manufacturing Electronic Assemblies for the upgrade of the AIM-9M Sidewinder Guidance and Control Section to the WDU-4E/B version that meet stringent tolerances.
