- PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Forest Service has a requirement for (1) refrigerated seedling delivery trailer.The trailer requirements are as follows: TRAILER 28 ft. gooseneck trailer with 20 ft. flatbed beam frame. Treated standard Wood decking. Gooseneck standard 2 5/16in. ball coupler, Dual tandem 10,000 lb.Electric brake axles, 20,000 lb. GVWR 16in dual rims and tires, DOT compliant lighting, reflective tape, and break away safety kit, 7 prong RV quick change electric plug lead,12, Mud flaps, Dual jacks,heavy duty Refrigeration Area Adapted for blower type cooling unit in front wall powered by separate Govt. supplied portable power source,Permanently attached to gooseneck trailer, Approx. overall dimensions 20 ft.L x 8 ft.6 in.W x 6 ft.8 in. H, White aluminum exterior, 3 in. steel crossills with 12 in. center on 20 ft. body, Heavy duty 4 in. I-beam mailsills on 20 ft. body, Extruded aluminum cargo floor, slip resistant, 2 1 in. Floor drains, Full width 2 panel insulated rear door with locks(and some type of latch to keep open while loading and unloading), Insulated side panel door, up to 48 in. wide (and some type of latch to keep open while loading and unloading), 1/2 in. sealed plywood liner on interior walls and ends, 1/2 in. plywood liner on ceiling, 3 in. floor insulation between crosssills, 2 in. insulation for sidewalls and ceiling, poured or sprayed insulation on front wall, Grab handle near side door, Four (4) 12 Volt recessed interior lights, 12 Volt Rear outside cargo light, DOT compliant lights and markings, Cooling unit - Thermo King V500 220v / 1 phase or equivalent. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: Solicitation, AG-82X9-S-06-0023, and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps as a Request For Quotation (RFQ) utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.The solicitation will be available for downloading on or about March 02, 2006 at the website address: http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. This acquisition is 100% Small Business Set-Aside, NAICS Code is 336212., small business size standard is 500 employees. All vendors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database (CCR) prior to award of a Federal contract. Registration may be completed on the internet at http://www.ccr.gov/. A handbook and other information is available at the site, including information on how to obtain a DUNS number, which is required to begin the registration process. Vendors are required to register at the Online Representations and Certifications website (ORCA); registration may be completed on the internet at http://www.bpn.gov.
