Description

Aviation Maintenance and Overhaul. The Contractor shall furnish all depot level labor, facilities, tools, test equipment, and material to repair/overhaul the AG-64 APU Gearbox Tail, Rotor, Input/Output NSN: 1615-01-254-7793, Input/Output Part Number : 7-311340001-7. The solicitation has been changed from W48RGZ04R0686 to W58RGZ04R0686. This synopsis is amended to change the requirement from a 100 percent small business set-aside to source approved. The only approved sources for this item is Purdy Co rporation(Cage 15152) and Fabritech,Inc(Cage OTLW4). This item is a critical safety item (CSI) and pursuant to Public Law 108-136 and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFAR),209-270-3, Aviation Critical Safety Items, the head of the contr acting activity for an aviation critical safety item may enter into a contractor for procurement, modification, repair, or overhaul of such an item only with a source approved by the head of the design control activity. Authority and Justiification is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation(FAR)6.302-1. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which may be considered by the agency.
