Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to award a contract for the provision of Comprehensive Medical Services for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution and Federal Prison Camp, Herlong, California. It is the intent of the Government to make a single award to an offeror who can provide all deliverables, to include inpatient/outpatient facility services, inpatient/outpatient physician services, and outpatient institution services. Offerors are encouraged to submit comprehensive proposals providing all listed requirements. Offerors who propose less will be evaluated accordingly. Due to the volume of information, quantities of outpatient institution services will be provided in the solicitation document. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements with firm fixed unit prices. The contract shall consist of a 12 month base period and four 12 month option periods for renewal. The estimated quantities for the base period and each option period are: 100 inpatient days and 300 outpatient visits. The solicitation will be made available on or about April 3, 2006 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of proposals is on or about June 2, 2006. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered.
