- Description
- Whitehorse Falls Day Use Improvements on the Diamond Lake Ranger District, approximately 70 miles east of Roseburg, Oregon. Project improvements consist of construction of short trail, trail bridge, boardwalk, viewing platform, and picnic pads. The trail and picnic areas are aggregate surfaced with timber kick rails and short stepped retaining walls. The glue laminated bridge has railing and geocell and timber abutments. The boardwalk and viewing platform includes timber decking and railing, with a glued laminated beam support structure. Option items include roack and post barriers, an interpretive sign structure, fence, asphalt surfacing and fire pit. This is a Request For Proposals; In addition to price proposals Offerors are required to complete a project specific Questionnaire providing information regarding past performance history, technical approach, equipment capability, work sequencing, quality control and traffic control; Detailed Technical Proposals are not required; Award evaluation criteria include technical approach and past performance history in addition to price; Award may be made without discussions; The project magnitude is in the range between $25,000 and $100,000 including the option items; Hard copies of the solicitation will not be provided. A presolicitation meeting is scheduled for October 25, 2005. See Special Notice posted 10/5/2005 on the FedBizOps website. Anticipated solicitation issue date is mid-November, 2005.
