- The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to (1) identify potential Electronic Countermeasure Systems (ECM) Industry sources, (2) invite them to a CREW Industry Information Day, (3) provide Industry with a threat overview, (4) and obtain technical and data from Industry to support a Joint Service Counter Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare (CREW) systems Analysis of Alternatives (AoA). The Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NAVEODTECHDIV) is seeking to identify CREW systems producers and candidate systems, and obtain descriptive, cost, logistics, technical specification, operational and test data for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) CREW systems, items that may require limited/minimal improvements and systems that are nearing completion of development. Developers and producers are invited to participate in an Industry Information Day to be held at the Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division, Indian Head! MD on 7 March 2006. The industry information day briefings and discussions will be at the secret level. Attendance is limited to U.S. Citizens. Submission of a visit request and clearance is required. This synopsis does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal, and it is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited. Addition Information: a. Due to seating limitations, attendance will be strictly limited to three (3) personnel from each vendor. b. No laptops, cell phone, pagers, PDAs or similar electronic devices are permitted in the auditorium during the Joint CREW Industry Information Day. c. One on One discussions: The Government may elect to conduct one-on-one discussions with Industry, based on its analysis of the RFI responses, the quality of submissions and the level and specificity of information provided. The discussions are planned for 30 minute durations and will be held on the Industry Information Day. Starting times will be assigned that day. Companies interested in having a one-on-one session must submit a written request NLT 1300, 3 March 2006. Please note that the Government is under no obligation to conduct these sessions. This announcement is a request for information only and is not a request for proposal or announcement of a solicitation. The information provided in response to this announcement will assist in the analysis of CREW development alternatives and specifications, and ultimately may result in result in the Government developing a Request for Proposal. Failure to participate in this sources sought will not preclude offerors from participating in any follow-on Request for Proposal. The Government will not pay for any effort expended or any material provided in response to this announcement nor will the Government return any data provided.
