- This is a pre-solicitation notice for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation and supervision necessary for the complete replacement of the hoist ropes on a 1936 Otis Elevator in the Perry's Monument located within the boundaries of the Perry's Victory & International Peace Memorial, 93 Delaware Avenue, Put-in-Bay, Ohio. Work will include, but is not limited to, replacing hoist ropes (approximately 3000 feet), elevator car governor rope (approximately 600 feet) and the counterweight governor rope (approximately 600 feet). A full description of all work will be identified in the Request for Quotation. All work required shall be in accordance with all Federal, State and Local regulations, to include Section 212 of the American National Standard Safety Code for Elevators. The NAICS code for this project is 238290. The small business size standard is $13 million. The estimated range of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Project must start on March 27, 2006 and be completed by April 5, 2006. Although not required, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to view the site before submitting a quote. This project will be solicited and awarded in accordance with the Small Business Demonstrative Competitiveness Program, Public Law 100-656. Accordingly, this project is open to both small and large businesses. The Request for Quotation package, with specifications, will be posted to websites: http://www.fedbizopps.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about on or about March 2, 2006. No hard copies of the Request for Quotation package will be mailed or issued. To receive a quote package, you must download it from http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
