This project will replace the two (2) existing five (5) stops, cable-operated elevators located in Building 1. The new work will consist of all the necessary labor, materials, equipment and supervision to replace the existing elevators with the new hydraulic hospital type of elevators, complete with any necessary shaft repairs, replacement of cab assembles, interior doors, jambs, standard control panels and including ADA control panels, new intercom system and smoke detectors, connected into the existing Medical Center Fire Alarm System and all necessary supporting emergency wiring to the transfer room. In accordance with the Metric Conversion Act of 1975 (P.L.94-168) and the Omibus Trade and Competitiveness Act of 1988 (L.11-418, Section 5164) it is the preference of the Federal Government to utilize metric measurements in all its procurements.
